Data and standards
Spécification des flux de vélos partagés (GBFS)
General Bikeshare Feed Specification (GBFS) is an open data standard for describing the current state of shared mobility services, maintained by MobilityData and its community. It supports public discovery of vehicles, stations, availability, and operating information according to the implemented version, rather than serving as a historical record of individual riders’ trips.
Data and standards
Géorepérage
Geofencing is the use of a virtual geographic boundary to associate rules, alerts, or actions with a location. Curb and shared-mobility systems may use geofences for permitted areas or operating restrictions, but boundary accuracy and device positioning limits affect how reliably those rules can be applied.
Data and standards
Système d’information géographique (SIG)
Geographic information system (GIS) is a system for storing, analyzing, and presenting information linked to geographic locations. A curb GIS can connect street geometry, regulations, assets, and observations, but reliable analysis requires consistent coordinate systems, spatial accuracy, update practices, and clear relationships between physical features and legal areas.
Data and standards
GeoJSON is a standardized JSON-based format for representing geographic features and their properties. It can encode curb-related points, lines, or polygons, while the meaning of attributes, accuracy of boundaries, and legal interpretation remain responsibilities of the dataset rather than guarantees supplied by the file format.
Street design
Infrastructure verte
Green infrastructure is a network of planted or nature-based elements used to manage environmental conditions and support public-space quality. At the curb, rain gardens, trees, and planted extensions can interact with loading, visibility, utilities, drainage, and maintenance, requiring integrated design rather than isolated landscaping decisions.
Curbside electrification
Raccordement au réseau électrique
Grid connection is the physical and administrative connection between electrical infrastructure and the distribution network supplying it. For curbside charging, connection planning involves capacity, utility coordination, civil works, metering, protection, and timing, with local conditions determining whether existing street infrastructure can support the intended charging service.
Sensing and privacy
Données de référence terrain
Ground truth is an independently established reference used to assess the accuracy of a measurement or classification. In curb studies it can come from carefully reviewed observations, but its reliability depends on the reference method, sampling, timestamp alignment, and consistent definitions rather than the label alone.
