About

The curb is the keystone of mobility

We provide neutral, evidence-based diagnostics and roadmaps that improve access, logistics efficiency, parking performance, and last-mile operations.

Our Mission

Our cities, retail destinations, hospitals, campuses, and logistics hubs face an invisible challenge: we obsess over mobility flows but ignore the place where everything begins and ends — the curb.

The curb is the keystone of mobility. It is where people park, where goods are delivered, where passengers are dropped off, where EVs recharge, where accessibility begins, and where operations succeed… or fail.

Yet today, the curb and last-mile spaces remain the least governed, least measured, and least optimised parts of mobility systems.

The Curb & Last-Mile Institute™ exists to change this.

Our purpose is to provide neutral, evidence-based diagnostics and roadmaps that improve access, logistics efficiency, parking performance, and last-mile operations for public and private clients.

We are here to make mobility better — and to make people's daily lives easier.

Why a Neutral Institute?

1

Knowledge Gap

Too few people truly understand the curb. The curb is complex, interconnected, and far from most experts' original domains.

2

Slow & Expensive

Traditional consulting is slow and expensive. Cities and operators need pragmatic solutions, not 200-page reports.

3

Vendor Limitations

Technology vendors—however well-intentioned—often lack deep understanding of how curb systems actually work.

Founder's Message

I founded The Curb & Last-Mile Institute for a simple reason: our streets and destinations deserve better.

Mobility improves when the curb improves — not the other way around.

Too few people truly understand the curb. Too few care about it. And yet, the curb is where mobility succeeds or fails.

For too long, cities and private operators have lacked fast, actionable, pragmatic tools to diagnose their access, parking, curb, and last-mile ecosystems. Traditional consulting is slow and expensive. Technology vendors — however well-intentioned — often lack a deep understanding of how curb systems actually work. The curb is complex, interconnected, and far removed from most vendors' original expertise.

This Institute fills the gap.

We bring experts, researchers, practitioners, and innovators together around a common belief: the health of our streets and last-mile spaces determines the health of our mobility.
