Curbside electrification
Charging uptime
Disponibilité opérationnelle de recharge
Charging uptime is the proportion of a defined period during which charging equipment meets specified operational criteria. Its meaning depends on the unit measured, excluded downtime, and required functions, so an energized station should not automatically count as usable if payment, connectors, communications, or safe access are unavailable.
Understanding the term
Report the definition and observation method alongside the value. Equipment telemetry and successful user charging attempts can reveal different aspects of service reliability.
Planning should connect electrical service requirements with the use of public space. Verify equipment compatibility, utility capacity, accessible operation, pedestrian clearance, payment information, and maintenance responsibilities before selecting a final layout. Distinguish equipment status from legal parking availability and from successful charging experienced by users. Review performance under realistic simultaneous demand and vehicle positions, and explain any limitations so that published capacity is not mistaken for a guaranteed service at every moment.
